The owner of this flat lives in the USA so we communicated mostly by email to agree the plans on this small bathroom.  We thought about taking out the bath and replacing it with a walk-in shower as per the drawings below, however as it is the only bathroom in the flat we decided it was better to keep a bath tub for future resale value.  In order to gain some storage for the three tenants that share this bathroom, we opted for a smaller bath and a larger basin unit with drawer space underneath.
